Bi-distillers' Overview

UPVA (bi-distiller substitute) is aimed to produce ultra pure water with very low content of inorganic, organic or colloidal contaminants.

Compliance standards:

  • GOST R 52501-2005 "Water for laboratory analysis (purity 2 or type II);
  • FS.2.2.0019.15 "Water for Injection".

The use of type II water:

  • for sensitive analytical methods, including the method of atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS) and the determination of the constituents in trace quantities;
  • for the preparation of culture media in Microbiology;
  • to produce high quality buffers, solutions, chemical and biochemical reagents;
  • to supply some types of laboratory equipment (hydrogen generators, climatic chambers, autoclaves, etc.);
  • for further purification of ultrapure water;
  • for the preparation of injection solutions.

The benefits of UPVA (bi-distiller substitute) in comparison to the bi-distiller:

  • Energy consumption is twice lower,
  • Water consumption is twice lower,
  • Electrical conductivity: 0.8-1.0 µs/cm (at t +25°C)

Conductivity:

The conductivity of the resulting water varies from 0.8 to 1 µs/cm (at +25°C).

For comparison, the water produced by the bi-distiller of other manufacturers, has an electrical conductivity of 1.6-2.0 µs/cm.
